Intaglio etching is a printmaking labour intensive technique that involves incising a design onto a metal plate. The plate is then inked. The ink is then drawn from the incised lines with an etching press. The prints are on high-quality hand made etching paper, resulting in stunning images with rich textures and depth.
This meticulous process allows me to explore mark-making, line, depth & texture, resulting in unique artworks that have high levels of detail.
