Something a little different … I am a huge fan of a woodblock print, especially from the Japanese masters. So, I booked myself onto a weekend workshop to learn the basics. I am taking along this basic 'Song Thrush’ design, to work from.
It is a completely different way of working. The pink areas will be carved out out the wood, the white areas will have the ink on them (to print) It is slightly messing with my head when I am used to vector drawing & intaglio methods.
I am rather confused by it all, but these days it doesn’t take much. But I look forward to trying this technique.
