I found myself looking through the archive today, whilst I drew a dove for a client. I came across this one, one from 2016, but not shared at the time! So here’s a short video of it.
It is a complex mix of 'Sacred Geometry' in the shape of a dove, commissioned for the sternum.
The Yantra is symbolic of the cosmos & creation. The Sri Yantra ("sacred instrument") or Sri Chakra ("sacred wheel") is formed by nine interlocking triangles that surround and radiate out from the central (bindu) point, the junction point between the physical universe and its unmanifest source. Together the nine triangles are interlaced in such a way as to form 43 smaller triangles in a web symbolic of the entire cosmos or a womb symbolic of creation.
There is minimal shading, instead focusing on the flow of the line.
|| Symbolism || Around the world, doves are associated with gentleness, peace, serenity, healing, the divine and purity. In Celtic mythology they typically symbolise divinity, femininity. In Ancient Greece, the dove was one of the votive animals of the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite ||
