BLUE MOON | Variable Etchings
15 black etchings, individually embellished with tones of blue, indigo, turquoise, aqua & gold. Each is unique.
METHOD
Intaglio describes any printmaking technique in which the image is produced by incising into the printing plate –the incised line or area holds the ink and creates the image. Punctured Artefact works across all intaglio techniques. Including; etching, engraving, drypoint & collagraph. Each piece is crafted by hand, from initial sketch to hand pulling each print through the etching press.
THE PRINT

METHOD: Copper Etching with Aquatint. With Hand Cut Plates.
EDITION SIZE : VE of 15 prints.
ART (PLATE SIZE): 2cm & 3cm.
PAPER: Hahnemuhle Etching, Natural. 9 x 14cm. 4 deckle edges.
INK: Strong & Soft Black Etching Ink.
WATERCOLOUR: Each variable print has a different range of Blues, Green & Gold. This print has blue, aqua & indigo.
MOUNT: None. This print would look great with the deckle edges on show. A mount can be supplied upon request.
