The design features stylised snakes with geometric shapes & staff wings.
The Caduceus is the staff of Hermes (Mercury). It is a rod, staff or wand generally surmounted with wings. 2 serpents entwine about the staff forming a figure of eight (infinity) It is symbolic of supernatural power, hidden wisdom and the cosmos. The dual nature of the design represent the paring of opposites in harmony (male & female, day & night) It is also a symbol of healing & peace and often associated with the medical professions.
