All my work is packed with symbolism, whether it be hidden or in a more obvious form. Here is one that you will find in my art. | DRAGONFLY | • The Dragonfly represents change, transformation, adaptability & self-realisation.. • The Dragonfly means hope, change, love, living freely & to the fullest. • The Dragonfly has been a symbol of happiness, new beginnings and change for many centuries. • According to Swedish culture, dragonflies approach people to measure the purity of their soul. They try to check whether people are evil souls. • According to Vietnamese culture if they fly low, they predict rain. High, they predict sunny and bright. Medium, they predict overcast. • According to Danish and Portuguese culture, dragonflies represent dark symbolism. • According to Navajo culture, the dragonfly represents purity and happiness. • According to Japanese culture, a dragonfly represents the end of summer and beginning of winter. • During their lifetime, these insects are brightly coloured. However, they become colourless and transparent after death. | SACRED DOVE | | Small Custom Tattoo Design | I found myself looking through the archive today, whilst I drew a dove for a client. I came across this one, one from 2016, but not shared at the time! So here’s a short video of it. It is a complex mix of 'Sacred Geometry' in the shape of a dove, commissioned for the sternum. The Yantra is symbolic of the cosmos & creation. The Sri Yantra ("sacred instrument") or Sri Chakra ("sacred wheel") is formed by nine interlocking triangles that surround and radiate out from the central (bindu) point, the junction point between the physical universe and its unmanifest source. Together the nine triangles are interlaced in such a way as to form 43 smaller triangles in a web symbolic of the entire cosmos or a womb symbolic of creation. There is minimal shading, instead focusing on the flow of the line. || Symbolism || Around the world, doves are associated with gentleness, peace, serenity, healing, the divine and purity. In Celtic mythology they typically symbolise divinity, femininity. | MERKABAH TREE | | Small Custom Tattoo Design | 10.5 cm height | This design was for the upper arm. The main feature is a tree with roots. It sits inside Sacred Geometry. The Vesica Piscus is a type of lens, a mathematical shape formed by the intersection of two disks with the same radius, intersecting in such a way that the centre of each disk lies on the perimeter of the other. The symbolic shape of a Merkabah sits at the centre of the design. It also has a little sun & moon. Air & Earth symbols sit at the top & bottom. I am trying to rectify this in 2022, but looking through the archives and posting a few here and there! | SACRED SHEN | | Medium Custom Tattoo Design From The Archive | Final Design This design features a Shen Symbol, water, Icosahedron, looping circles, tetrahedron, geometric mandala, flower of life & initials | SYMBOLISM | In ancient Egypt it was represented in hieroglyphsas a stylised loop of a rope. The shen ring is most often seen carried by the falcon god Horus. It was used as a magical aid; during the 3rd and 4th Dynasties it was worn around the neck for protection. Because the circle had no end, the shen-ring was regarded as the symbol of infinity, and when it encircled the sun, as the symbol of the eternity of the universe. | TATTOO FLASH | I created a similar design, which you can now find in my tattoo Tattoo Flash Store | Link | | Symbolism | A Shen ring is a circle with a line at a tangent to it. ORIGINAL DRAWING | Furled | This design depicts a robin perched on top of a Epiphyllum Oxypetalum flower, alongside the moon cycles. This design was commissioned as an original drawing (with tattoo files) It combines 2 pieces of flash, which the client selected. ————————————————— - Signed 1 of 1, with certificate. - Presented in P.A folder, with card. ————————————————— || Symbolism || Full Flower Super Moon in Scorpio || Known as the Full Flower Moon, it traditionally marks a time when flowers are usually blooming, according to the Farmer’s Almanac.
